Child/Adolescent Partial Hospitalization

Partial Hospitalization Programs for Children and Adolescents

Forest View Hospital’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) for children and adolescents helps provide a step-down from acute inpatient care, or an alternative to inpatient treatment for those who can receive treatment in a less restrictive environment. Daily attendance is strongly recommended for consistency and symptom management. Our program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Each child or adolescent who enrolls in the Forest View Hospital Partial Hospitalization Program works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including a psychiatrist, registered nurse, social worker/counselor and other professionals. Social workers/counselors collaborate with the patient’s outpatient providers and arrange for aftercare treatment.

Patients in the Forest View PHP are offered a variety of group therapy topics which may include medication education, anger management, recovery from addictions, conflict resolution, depression management, anxiety management, coping skills and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT).

Cost and Insurance

Most health insurance plans are accepted including Medicare and Medicaid.

Consultation with Providers

Partial Hospital staff will make every attempt to communicate and collaborate with the patient’s outpatient providers. Regular involvement is necessary to develop an individualized treatment plan, provide updates on progress, develop a comprehensive discharge plan and provide a seamless transition of care.
