Inpatient psychiatric treatment at Forest View Hospital is designed for children, adolescents and adults who are at risk to themselves or others, who require crisis intervention and stabilization and are unable to function at home, school or in a less restrictive setting. Our inpatient programs provide individual units for children, adolescents and adults, and individualized treatment for each patient. We strive to ensure that each patient is truly a part of their treatment team.
Forest View’s inpatient program provides a secure and structured therapeutic environment that emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to individual challenges and issues. Structured programming occurs seven days a week with both group and family therapies. Specific treatment groups include psychodrama, medication education, drug awareness and prevention, discharge planning, body movement, social skills training and psychoeducational groups.
