The Forest View Outpatient Clinic is dedicated to providing outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management to clients in the community.
Clients discharged from inpatient or partial hospitalization at Forest View Hospital can be scheduled for a medication review within 1 to 4 weeks following discharge (as appropriate).
The clinic does not provide outpatient psychotherapy, but works closely with therapists in the community to coordinate treatment. The clinic also works closely with Forest View’s inpatient programming to provide medication management for discharged patients as part of a transitional step-down process. Clients may then continue to receive treatment from the Outpatient Clinician or may be returned to their current psychiatric provider.
The clinic is located in the lower level of Forest View Hospital. The Outpatient Clinic’s phone hours are Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
New clients needing outpatient psychiatric evaluations can be referred to the clinic by medical or behavioral health professionals, or by direct contact from the client themselves. Appointments can be arranged by our administrative staff by calling 616.957.2235 or 1.800.949.8439, ext. 235.
